On top of that, it looks gorgeous for a 3DS game, even thanks to the clean anime-ish graphics that really depict monsters and characters in a charming way. Now we only have to wait for the announcement of a western rele
In a tight, closed space, sounds don’t echo very much. In a wide open room like the one above, though, echoes last longer. Echoes also change depending on the materials that make up an area: They’re louder when you’re surrounded by metal than when you’re surrounded by dirt, for example. Each area you explore in a game needs its own reverb settings to get these echoes just right.
We weren't sure what the response would be like, but many more votes than we expected poured in, and the results were clear, with a landslide win for Final Fantasy XV. There is no doubt that the hard work by Hajime Tabata and his team connected with many of our readers like it did with us, and the results clearly show in the chart be
I made this concept art of an abandoned city by painting over a screenshot of the area as it looked in the unfinished game. Environmental concept art like this serves as a solid guideline for the team that makes all the environmental models. I originally painted this cityscape with much darker colors – though the weather was always pretty nice! In the end, I decided that it didn’t match the overall feeling of NieR Automata walkthrough|Https://nierautomatafans.Com/: Automata very well, so I brightened it up to what you see here.
But alas, we have only one award to give, and Battlefield 1 's absolutely stunning and extremely fun desert map brings it home. And the horses... oh the horses... They're unbelievably fun. If you see one available on the battlefield, grab it.
It’s absolutely critical to start with a solid premise, then playtest again and again to make sure you’re staying on track. Passersby usually assume we’re just playing games all day, never suspecting how much blood, sweat and tears it takes…
While our "Biggest Shocker!!!" special prize is basically a honorable mention, this time around the name is quite appropriate (even more so to the adorably quirky nature of the game's creator Yoko Taro). The crazy action and the drastic perspective changes that were showcased during a stage event. literally made me shout "What the F...!" (in a very good way) in the middle of the press room where I was recording the show, with the obvious amusement of a few tens of mostly Japanese journali
The latest build of the game, playable at Tokyo Game Show, felt smooth and solid, with absolutely gorgeous visuals, engaging gameplay , and a powerful emotional impact felt from the first minute (but you haven't seen that part yet, unless you played the demo in pers
The press days of Gamescom have come to an end yesterday, and for now we only shared a fraction of the many, many games we saw. With only two public days left, it's time to name our winners for the show.
As usual, remember that the winners below reflect our personal feelings and opinions. It's perfectly ok if you disagree, and have your own list. As a matter of fact, feel free to post it in the comments.
That will likely change in 2017, however, if the past few weeks have been any indiciation. Not too long ago, Square Enix announced that there would be a link between Final Fantasy 15 and NieR: Automata , a statement that showed a strong belief in the latter's development progress. Today, developer Platinum Games upped the ante even further, unleashing a 4.4 GB demo of NieR: Automata in the PlayStation Store. The demo also got an updated description once it went l
The moment you manage to place your ship in a position that allows you to bring down a full broadside on an enemy while preventing them to shoot at the same time (a traditional maneuver that seamen call "crossing the T"), you'll feel like a god. Try to resist the temptation to scream "FIRE!!!" into the mic if you can. I couldn't.
As a series, it has managed to keep up with the times in good stride ( even if it got weirder along the way ). Nier and its predecessor Drakengard were both superb reflections of their time. Nier: Automata is already looking to address certain themes all too familiar for the times right now. Again, making a giant leap into the future, possibly to speak on what technology means for the world. How it shapes and effects our lives. It will be interesting to see where Automata goes because it will be the first game without human protagonist. Heroine 2B looks female, but like her counterpart S9 (looks male), they are both fully functioning machines. Not a single human thing about them, aside from looks (they both look dope). It will also be a game without blood, as far as what has been shown. Surprising as this series oozes blood; even the shades in Nier spouted fountains of gore. Yet even this design choice of focusing more on explosions than gore is important. Giving pause to thought, maybe Nier: Automata is saying something about our world in a clever way that is built into its world.
