Brazen thieves have stolen luggage containing designer bags, jewellery and clothes from a taxi while a passenger and the driver were still inside as a family returned home from holiday.
CCTV captured the daring robbery, which unfolded in the blink of an eye in Bundall on the Gold Coast late Tuesday night.
The security footage shows three males wearing balaclavas and masks getting out of a white Lexus before they're joined by several others who arrive in another vehicle.
The group spot a taxi pulling up in a driveway and race to the vehicle's boot to steal luggage belongings, worth of thousands of dollars.
The shameless thieves flee back to the Lexus, which then speeds off.
Inside the hire car were Jason Dacey and his wife returning home from the airport after a holiday.

'They could have followed me inside, but they chose to steal the bags in the back of the limo with my wife and the limo driver still inside,' Mr Dacey told Nine News.
'My wife was one metre away. Had they had a knife, they could have put the knife on her or done anything. Who knows what could have happened!'
'They were already there, so they were either going to break into house or just an opportune thing that we pulled up at that time.

The Lexus was captured on security vision pulled in a neighbouring street over a few minutes later where they rummaged through the stolen loot and took he valuables before dumping the rest.
They also left behind vital clues which could assist police hunt them down.
'They left behind two of their jackets so police will be interested in them for DNA testing,' Gold Coast Patrol Dogs Security K9's Wayne Henecker said.
