I wanted to share my terrible online shopping experience as a serious warning to future customers. What started as an exciting custom design session quickly turned stressful when I reviewed the final bill. The website was confusing, the pricing model seemed designed to deceive, and the final cost was far higher than the initial selection preview. My overriding conclusion about the whole confusing ordeal was simple:
"It's fun but not sure about pricing etc."
I felt completely misled by the lack of transparency surrounding the accessories and service fees, which is why I immediately felt compelled to leave this review and engage in a frustrating conversation with customer service to understand where all the extra, unexplained charges came from.
Customer: I need an explanation immediately for my Order #4567. The total cost jumped nearly 40% from the cart preview to the final charge on my card. This is completely unacceptable business practice.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration with the unexpected cost, and I sincerely apologize for the confusion at checkout. Can you confirm which specific items or fees seem inflated on your final receipt?
Customer: It's the 'Custom Finishing' fee and the 'Premium Patch Upgrade.' I didn't opt for premium, and those fees were completely hidden until I submitted the payment. Why isn't the final price clearly displayed
before
the transaction completes?
CS Rep: You are absolutely right, that process needs to be clearer on our end. It appears the system automatically applied the Premium Patch after you selected the accessory placement. I will waive that 'Custom Finishing' fee right now and apply a $15 credit back to your account for the pricing discrepancy.
Customer: Thank you for addressing the fee, but I'm still extremely wary about trusting the site again if the basic pricing mechanism is this opaque.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
