Leaving this area is a little complex, but the first step is to turn around from the chest and head back down the hallway. Take a right, then a left. The Barrier Breach will have to be invoked to get outside. Once outside, climb up the hill to the right. It's a bit tricky to navigate the small ledges to grab onto, but jumping like a Destiny 2 Dark Vanguard will make it easier. This will return players to the catacomb entrance again. Riven will open her mouth in preparation for an attack that will make the entire team start this Last Wish raid encounter over.
