As a pinball game, Marvel Pinball is as solid as they come. The physics featured in this game are identical to pinball machines you would find at your local arcade. Plus, you get to enter and record your high scores, compare them up against the world, compare them against your friends, and even the vibration feedback makes you feel that much closer to the real thing. You also have all the standards that come with a pinball table, including bumpers, rails, stand-up targets, etc. I especially like the fact that the game has the courtesy to move the Xbox Live notifications to the middle of the screen instead of at the bottom, because, if you know anything about pinball, you know that covering any part of the bottom of the screen could result in the loss of a ball. You lose three balls, and you're out. Game o
Susan Storm (A.K.A. The Invisible Woman) was revealed to actually be a Skrull by Doctor Doom. Is it a coincidence that Skrulls are A) featuring prominently in the cartoon based on the Marvel movies, and B) rumored to be the villains of Joss Whedon's The Avengers ? We'll leave that up to you to decid
For years, on both Game Rant and Screen Rant, we've suffered through the awkward video game-film relationship. The sad reality, as we so often repeat, is that movies based on video games and video game movie tie-ins all suck, with the rare exception here and th
OK, so just a few minutes ago Twitter literally exploded with news of a major financial announcement: according to The Associated Press, The Walt Disney Co. will acquire Marvel Entertainment Inc., for $4 billion in cash and st
If there’s anything less-than-glowing to say about the footage, it’s that the animation retains a bit of that stilted Americanized anime quality due to the overuse of camera pans, push-ins, zooms, and tilts, as opposed to pure animated movement. Indeed, it doesn’t yet feel as energized as the wonderful (but canceled) Spectacular Spider-Man – then again, some deemed that show to be too carto
We can thank Sega for the awful, poorly made, over-priced, unfair-to-fans-and-the-industry games including The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Captain America: Super Soldier and Thor: God of Thunder . The Thor game was so bad it made us angry that it was even m
A major contributor to this problem in recent years is Marvel and their partnership with Sega to released video games for all of the Marvel Studios films to date. Every single one of them was ugly, dated and downright bad . For fans, the good news is that Sega seems to be out of the mix but we don't know yet if there will be a full-fledged retail release for The Avenge
In addition to Marvel: Avengers Alliance , Gazillion has the Super Hero Squad game for the toddlers and they have the upcoming Marvel Heroes MMO on the way, but still now word on a potential retail game based on The Avenge
"In my opinion, the biggest afflictions affecting movie-licensed games is the amount of development time and a strict adherence to retelling the story of the film in the form of a game. The former is easy to understand -- less development time means less time to design, produce and polish the game, resulting in a poor or lesser-quality experien
"We just launched Marvel: Avengers Alliance on Facebook; which is just the tip of the iceberg. This is the first in a much larger effort to support the Avengers franchise across not just one but multiple video game touch points. The Avengers are bigger than just one game, and we’re planning to allow consumers to enjoy The Avengers regardless of their preference in gameplay style or platform. Look for more announcements in the weeks to co
Marvel Pinball is exactly what you would expect from reading the title alone; it's Marvel themed, Pinball fun. You get four different tables, and each table offers something from each of the superheroes it features. Wolverine, Marvel’S Spider-Man 2 collectibles|https://spiderman2mix.com/, Iron-Man and Blade are your four superheroes with this title, and they also bring along with them some friends. So, how do these tables play, and is it worth your cash to download this title? Read on to find
Pro - Disney is a universal name with pockets so deep that God's hand would have a hard time reaching the bottom. Marvel is no slouch either in the household name department - but let's face it, they are no Disney. All that extra money, means way more marketing and increased traffic within the theme parks (sorry Universal but looks like you might lose the X-Men characters in your parad
Is that why this continued for three years, releasing five of these poorly conceived games for every platform? We know Sega's not working on a game for The Avengers and the one THQ was working on got canned . Is there going to be a full console release or is Marvel (and parent company, Disney) just focusing on social and free-to-play games going forw
