The final challenge for Week Two of Destiny 2 Season of the Lost is Taken Eradication. This challenge requires Guardians to defeat a percentage of Taken in strikes. Bonus progress is earned for defeating tougher combatants. The Nightfall for week two is a Taken strike in the EDZ, and this challenge can be completed quickly by selecting a higher difficulty Nightfall. The new member of the Boss Team will pick up the next round of Voltaic Overflow, and by that time the original two teammates will have had their effects worn off. Continue this until the Conflux Team deposits the 30 motes, as if they're playing Gambit , and then the Consecrated Mind will be drawn to the Conflux. At the Conflux, the Consecrated Mind will spread its appendages and have multiple red lights showing. After depositing the motes, Portal Team One will have the same Enlightened buff that was seen in previous encounters. They'll be able to break the shields of immune enemies, but only for 45 seconds. It's best to focus on breaking as many enemy shields as possible while the effect is up so the Conflux Team can continue to defend both Confluxes, and there are plenty of the Season of the Lost weapons that can help. After Portal Team One returns, break another of the same side part for Portal Team Two to go through and gather motes. They'll return, deposit their motes, and the same process will be repeated for the other side. Portal Team Two can enter the portal that is used to bring back Portal Team One, and it's recommended to do this so only one Cyclops spawns at a t
Two members of the Conflux Team will head towards the Conflux, while the third looks for a Vex Minotaur that will drop motes once defeated. Grab the motes, and return to the Conflux. Deposit them to temporarily earn the Enlightened buff. This will allow that teammate to defeat the enemies with immune shields. There are only a few of them, they cannot be allowed to reach the Conflux. These Vex Goblins will sacrifice at the Conflux, causing a wipe. As the Enlightened teammate deals with the immune enemies, another is looking for the next Minotaur to grab motes from. Additionally, all teammates should destroy the Succulents as soon as possible, since they explode when close to a Guardian. The Salvager's Salvo Grenade Launcher is perfect for this. Once in the damage phase, the Consecrated Mind will be extremely vulnerable in its eye. It will also back up to the original starting point. Follow it and continue to do damage, as a barrier will soon spawn at the beginning of the hallway, preventing any damage from being done. The whole team can make it beyond the barrier before it spawns but should wait until the Consecrated Mind makes it beyond the next staircase. If the barrier spawns try jumping between the barrier on the left or right sides attaching to the wall to get by it. Before starting the encounter, divide the team up into two teams of three. One team will become the Conflux Team, and the other is the Boss Team. There are very few roles that have to be switched up during this encounter, but for the majority of the time, these teams will be on their own.
