Over the last couple of weeks it will not open normally (not even in safe mode) and I am having to do the windows repair option in settings. I have also tried the Classic Outlook Profile Set Up Troubleshooter. Trouble shooter came back as there was a problem running the trouble shooter, try looking for other solutions. When Outlook does open, it will send mail fine one minute and then the next minute it will not send any mail. The only thing is to know how to overcome them when they arise. There are also notes about legacy per-user auth being an issue, however we had two accounts left in per-user auth but none with the issue. If you think that it is patch related, roll back the patch and see if that fixes it for the end users. If it’s an RDS server and the cache is also on the server, if the server crashes, reboots abruptly, is full, there are many reasons. Instead of removing the profile, remove the OST file and let it recreate. Find solutions to common problems or get help from a support agent.
We recommend that you move several items in your larger folders to separate folders, or that you archive those items by using the AutoArchive feature. Performance may be decreased if you use the Outlook AutoArchive feature or sync to Outlook with a mobile device. If none of that worked, I’d restore the server from backup when it was working and see what happens moving forward. If both of those don’t fix it, I’d run a full maintence cycle on the server. I couldn’t find anything in the Event Viewer that points to the root cause, nor could I find any similar issues online. These troubleshooting techniques apply to Outlook 2016 and 2011 for Mac.
If the problem doesn't occur after you restart Outlook, one of the add-ins is likely the cause of the problem. Restore the add-ins one at a time until the problem does occur to determine which add-in is causing the problem. If you have Outlook in your startup folder, remove the shortcut from the startup folder.

You can also add the secondary connected accounts (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.) in Outlook.com as additional accounts in the Outlook profile. If you manually type in the secondary connected account email address in the "From" field, the email is sent as "On behalf of" your primary Outlook.com account. While these Microsoft accounts work in other Microsoft products (e.g. OneDrive, Windows, Xbox), they are non-functional when visiting Outlook.com.
There are three steps you can take to try to get Outlook working again. If classic Outlook repeatedly prompts you for a password during setup, make sure that your caps lock isn't turned on. This can also happen if you've entered your username incorrectly. Select More to see additional actions—for example, an option to print a message. Some customers may experience a delay when trying to create a new email address, or alias, for their Outlook.com account. None of the events or information was lost in the move to the new calendar. The Family group calendar now appears in the Outlook.com groups area in the left nav on Outlook web and in the groups area of the Outlook mobile app. Customers with only a 3rd party email address set up as the username of their Microsoft Account will be asked to add a 1st party Microsoft alias to their account before accessing Outlook.com.

We have recently received some reports of users who are experiencing issues with subscribing to .ics/ical calendars. Microsoft has released a Windows Hotfix file to remove the contacts folder synced by the Teams app. This issue has been mitigated and we are continuing to monitor the issue to ensure stability. The root cause was the deployment of an incorrect campaign data file, which led to false positive campaign detection.
