While players do not have to complete these objectives in a single deployment, failing to do so will have players repeat objectives, as the warlord is only found inside the fortress, the fortress cannot be accessed until a Mercenary Stronghold safe has been cracked, and the research notes can only be collected by defeating the Warlord.
