Considered one of the best shooter franchises of all time (and being banned in some countries historically), Counter-Strike 's latest iteration, Global Offensive , is still every bit as important and influential as it ever was. Its iconic lineup of weaponry has shifted a bit over the years, but in general, there have always been guns that are considered must-haves for competitive play, while others have been dismissed as a total waste of time (and valuable in-game funds). Today, we'll go over some of e
The ping mechanic is one of the most useful non-verbal ways for teammates to help each other during a game of Danger Zone . This is because a player pinging can reveal an enemy, a supply crate, or can direct the focus of a team to a particular po
What started as a Counter-strike 2 ak-47 skins 1.6 community map called de_cpl_strike created by Michael "BubkeZ" Hull, would eventually become the de_mirage known today when it was altered in 2004. Valve would later remake the map for the launch of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive . This version has been featured in every CS:GO Major Championships to date and has consistently been in the top 5 most played maps in both casual and professional play since 2
By now, everyone is familiar with battle royale video games. From games like Apex Legends , Fortnite , and Call of Duty: Warzone 2 , battle royale titles seem to have flooded the online gaming market and have left a permanent imprint on the multiplayer shooter genre. However, within the selection of free-to-play options in the battle royale genre , CS:GO Danger Zone seems to be one that has been largely underrated since lau
Plainly stated, the M249 isn't the best LMG in the game. Compared to the Negev, it really doesn't hold up despite its monstrous stopping power. It also has a smaller magazine size, which really doesn't help its case any. The last, and likely most damaging consideration is its incredibly high price tag, generally making it an unwise buy unless the player truly has funds to sp
Skilled players can win an entire game they have no right to win, with just this beast in their arsenal. However, missing a shot can be fatal, as as a defensive weapon, it has close to no legs to stand on. It's surely a make-or-break weapon, and those who used it once just can't get enough of
Most people would even go as far as to say that The Elder Scrolls is a great keyboard and mouse learning game. If players have never tried the keyboard and mouse, and they're itching to play a role-playing game, The Elder Scrolls is appealing. It doesn't have too many key bindings to make it needlessly complica
Part of what makes CS:GO so great is the fact that smaller teams have a chance to show what they can do on the biggest stages. In most sports, the teams with the most money tend to dominate every year, with smaller teams having a fluke here and there. In CS:GO. this does happen to an extent, but there has been a long list of instances where a team that qualified for a major or other big event stunned the entire field despite not having the same level of backing. For smaller teams, even making it past the qualifying stages for a big event changes their future and it already happened at the Berlin Ma
As for the league, the next step in the process would depend on how many teams Valve ultimately allows, but let's just say there are twenty teams. Those same twenty teams could be split into two divisions of ten and then must earn a certain number of points within league play in order to maintain their spot. The ten lowest point earners would then have to take part in a relegation tournament whereby they would battle it out with a yet to be determined number of teams who have earned enough points from various tournaments to have their chance at earning a spot in the league. The league itself would play out much like ESL Pro league, being separate from all tournaments, having its own season and its own prize pool. Majors could still work in their current format, with points being assigned to current league holders that can be earned by teams who aren't in the league if they happen to defeat one of the league te
Of all the map revisions, Inferno is likely the most faithful to the original with so little changed that it would be more apt to call it a facelift. Then again, it's not all that surprising so little was changed about the map since there were very few flaws with the map in general. Inferno is renowned for the balance it provides on both T and CT-sides, the high skill ceiling for players/teams to master the map, and endless replayability at the casual and professional lev
Gambling services such as Stake.com have risen dramatically in popularity and spending power in recent years, allowing players to gamble with the cryptocurrency of their choice. This popularity allowed crypto gambling services to offer extremely lucrative sponsorship deals for big-time streamers to gamble on their websites. For example, popular streamer Adin Ross was reportedly being paid upwards of $900,000 a week to play on Stake.com, meaning a glaring and massive vested interest was pres
