Donald Trump's former physician has claimed the president dictated the letter released in 2015 that gave him an immaculate bill of health.canadian-prescription-drugs.jpg

Dr. Harold Bornstein, who was Trump's primary physician before he took office, told CNN outside his Park Avenue office: 'He dictated that whole letter. I didn't write that letter. I just made it up as I went along.'

The president's ex-physician compared the scheme to that of the Oscar-nominated 1996 crime drama, 'Fargo', because 'it takes the truth and moves it in a different direction.'

Bornstein recalled being in the car with his wife back in December 2015 while rehearsing the letter over with the presidential candidate at the time. He informed Trump what was appropriate and inappropriate to say publicly.

The longtime physician said in the December 2015 letter: 'If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.'

Bornstein's letter in 2015 concluded: 'If elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency'

A five-paragraph letter released before the November 2016 election also claimed Trump was in 'excellent physical health.'

Trump's blood pressure and cholesterol measurements were noted as healthy, despite him using cholesterol-lowering statin medicine. Also listed to be normal, his EKG, echocardiogram, chest X-ray and blood sugar.

Weighing in then at the alleged 236 pounds, the six-foot-three Trump's body mass index, or BMI, was 29.5, meaning he was overweight.

Aside from the cholesterol medication, Trump had been taking pills for his baldness as well as his Rosacea.

Bornstein's 2016 letter further stated the president's testosterone level at 441.6 and normal. His PSA reading for prostate abnormalities and tests of his liver and thyroid were also noted to be normal.

The bombshell report comes shortly after Bornstein said Trump's bodyguard led a 'raid' on his office last year that he believes was connected to his revelation that he prescribed him hair growth medicine.

Bornstein told NBC News that Keith Schiller, head of Trump's security team in the private sector and viagra online canadian pharmacy a White House aide at the time, showed up at his office without notice in February 2017 and confiscated the president's medical records.

Bornstein said Schiller was with Alan Garten, the top lawyer for the Trump Organization, and a third man he did not know.

The former Trump physician said he felt 'raped, frightened and sad' after the event that he's sure was linked to his admission that the president takes Propecia, a medication for combating male baldness.

'They must have been here for 25 or 30 minutes. It created a lot of chaos,' Bornstein said told the news network.

Bornstein, 70, added that Schiller and his partners took Trump's medical files, including charts and lab reports. There are no copies of them, Bornstein said.

A source told NBC that Bornstein was presented a letter requesting the records from White House physician Ronny Jackson during the Feb. 3 encounter that Schiller, who is no longer working for Trump, oversaw.

That person could not say whether there was a release form attached to the letter authorizing a hand-off of the records, however.

Bornstein said he never saw a signed one from Trump  -  meaning that the release, however it came about, of the records would have been in violation of a federal privacy act known as HIPAA.

While the men were in his office, Bornstein said they also asked him to take down a framed 8x10 photo of himself and Trump that has been hanging in the waiting room.

The president dropped Bornstein from his orbit, the doctor said, after he told the New York Times that he prescribed Trump the hair stimulant Propecia.

He also revealed the said prescriptions for Rosacea and cholesterol to the Times.

'I couldn't believe anybody was making a big deal out of a drug to grow his hair that seemed to be so important. And it certainly was not a breach of medical trust to tell somebody they take Propecia to grow their hair. What's the matter with that?' Bornstein told NBC.

The Times' story ran on February 1 and Bornstein told NBC News that Trump's personal assistant at his real estate business, Rhona Graff, called him that day to tell him his hopes of being the White House doctor would never come to pass.

Bornstein says he'd talked to her about his desire previously, and she called him on Feb. 1 and said, ' "So you wanted to be the White House doctor? Forget it, you're out." '

Schiller, Gartner and another individual harassed him in his office, he says, two days later.

The identity of the third person, who Bornstein described as a 'large man,' that was allegedly with Schiller at the doctor's office that day is unknown.

Garten was not originally with the duo, Bornstein says. He arrived after they were already at his office. Bornstein told NBC that his wife Melissa photocopied Garten's business card.

None of the men, or the White House, responded to requests for comment from NBC, the news network says.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders on Tuesday afternoon described the document collection was 'standard procedure.'

Bornstein had been Trump's physician for more than three decades before the former real estate mogul was elected to the presidency. He notoriously claimed that Trump would have the best health of anyone ever elected to the presidency during the campaign

'As is standard operating procedure for a new President, the White House Medical Unit took possession of the President's medical records,' she explained.

Sanders said it was not her understanding that the incident was a 'raid' as she refuted Bornstein.

Bornstein had been Trump's physician for more than three decades before the former real estate mogul was elected to the presidency.

He notoriously claimed that Trump would have the best health of anyone ever elected to the presidency during the campaign.

'I like that sentence to be quite honest with you,' he told NBC in retrospect, 'and all the rest of them are either sick or dead.'

Jackson, the president's doctor at the White House, later came under scrutiny for arguing that Trump, 71, could have lived to be 200 if he'd taken better care of himself over the years.

His performance at a White House press briefing, where he chalked up the overweight president's good health to 'good genes,' ingratiated himself to Trump, who appointed him to lead the Veterans Affairs Department at the end of March.

Jackson crumbled under pressure last week, as Democrats claimed he'd been accused of excessively drinking on the job and passing out pills like candy on overseas flights.

He backed away from the promotion and his future at the White House is now uncertain.
