Once tension is set, rotate the chain by hand several full revolutions to ensure it moves freely without resistance on any part of the system. Do not apply excessive grease, as over-application leads to debris accumulation and surface erosion.
Finally, inspect mounting bolts and protective covers, and perform a test run under light load. Monitor for unusual noise, vibration, or heat. Routine checks and servicing will help extend operational lifespan indefinitely.
